Just Asking
Who Picked the Schools that Are Involved in the PeaceBuilders' Program?
Working together to present a united front, six New York schools will experience hands-on training in PeaceBuilders®, the renowned nationwide anti-violence youth program approved for the federally funded Safe and Drug Free Schools Act, on Saturday, January 24, 2004, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PeaceBuilders is a comprehensive community-based program launched in schools that shifts the entire climate to a peaceful, productive and safe place for students, parents and faculty.
More than 600 teachers and administrators from schools PS132, PS126, PS55, MS232, MS145 and MS219 will meet with PeaceBuilders trainers from around the nation for an interactive introduction to this research-based, award-winning program. PS132 is already a licensed PeaceBuilders school and is an integral part of Saturday's community-wide participation. |
